FAQs
The answers to your questions
Do you provide clothing or should I bring my own?
I offer a limited studio wardrobe to compliment my portrait sessions. For Heirloom Portraits, select pieces are available for girls. For Simply Sweet Sessions, the wardrobe is minimal but includes options for both boys and girls, with some unisex pieces available. If parents prefer to bring their own clothing, I recommend timeless, simple styles in muted or pastel tones. For boys, jeans, khaki or neutral pants with a button-up shirt or plain t-shirt (without characters or logos) work beautifully. For girls, muted tones, classic pieces, or even jeans are welcome. Please avoid bright colors or busy patterns.
Do you photograph families or parents with their children?
My portraits sessions are designed exclusively for children, which is where my artistic focus and specialty lies. Heirloom and Simply Sweet Sessions highlight children in a painterly, timeless style. Parents who wish to join may do so, but sessions are capped at a maximum of six individuals (siblings + parents). Please note that the emphasis of every session remains on the child.
How long will it take to receive my photos?
After your session, I’ll send you a private proof sheet of your unedited images via WhatsApp or email. You’ll have time to choose your favorite portraits, and I’ll then professionally hand-edit each selected image. Final images are typically delivered within 2–3 weeks after your selections are made.
What if my child doesn't smile?
Smiles are never required. My portraits are designed to feel timeless and painterly, often with a more serious or classic expression - much like a traditional painting. If you're child does smile naturally, I'll capture that too, but the focus is on creating find art rather than "say cheese" images.
What if my child has difficulty cooperating during the session?
I welcome children of all temperaments and abilities - every child deserves to be photographed and celebrated. I understand that some children may need more time, breaks, or flexibility, and I adjust the pace of my sessions accordingly. However, for safety reason and to achieve the best results, children must be kept from running around the home studio or handling equipment. Parents play an important role in helping set the tone, and together we can create a calm environment where beautiful portraits are possible.
Is your studio and inclusive and safe space?
Absolutely. My studio is a place where every child is welcome and celebrated, regardless of race, religion, ability, gender identity, or family background. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued, and my goal is to create portraits in an environment where they can simply be themselves.
What is your cancellation policy?
I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. I understand that children can become ill unexpectedly, and in those cases I am happy to reschedule your session for a later date. Please note that repeated last minute cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiting your session fee. My goal is always to be understanding, while also respecting the time I reserve for each family.
